A lot of recording schools will tend to train you as a music producer or a recording engineer by showing you the ropes on a teacher to student level. They will show you proven ways to get a great recording and then you will be expected to duplicate their efforts. If the school is good then they will show you all of the best recording techniques while leaving out the junk. Leaving out the stuff that does not work can save you tons of time and help speed up the learning process.
When looking for recording schools always check them out thoroughly before parting with your hard earned cash.
